Hello, everyone. Welcome to the Dragon’s Nest. This is where I will do my best to entertain you if nothing else. I will respond to any questions or comments posted if a reply is warranted.
I have found a hosting site for our website, dragonstarz.com. You never realize just how many hosting companies are out there until you decide you want to put up a site of your own. I did a lot of research before I found one I was truly happy with. I can’t start on the site itself until tomorrow; I have to wait for the name server change to take effect before everything is ready for editing. Editing? More like having to build the site from scratch again! Yes, I am doing this myself yet again. You’d think I would have learned the first time around!! I had to switch hosting companies just because I was having to pay about $40.00 a month just for hosting. In these times, that is a lot of money. I found a host for less than half of that with more features. I’m not sure if I should mention the hosting site here or not, so I’ll play it safe & not say. I will say that it is a popular hosting company that is “green”. (That played a part in my decision, too.)
I am not looking forward to building the site again as it is an e-commerce site with lots of products & I have to upload everything again manually. It takes a lot of time to do this. If it was only a few products, it wouldn’t take long but we have over 100 products - probably more than that, to be honest - & it takes at least 5 mins. per product! I am going to optimize it as I’m going this time. I didn’t know about that the first time around!! I also want to change some of the layout, as well. I hope to get it all done by the weekend. We shall see….
